The annual swimming and water safety classes will be held at Brandon Pier for the next 2 weeks commencing Monday July 2nd. These are run by the Irish Water Safety Assn and the classes are open to everyone. Enrolment will be on Monday July 2nd at 10.30 am in Brandon. Information : 0879923325

The 2017 Language Course for adults and families will commence in mid Summer 2017. The course will provide participants with Irish Language tuition in the beautiful surroundings of the West Kerry Gaeltacht of Clochán Bréanainn.
We provide a range of fun activities to keep children occupied allowing them to sample the Irish language in a relaxed environment – these facilities are offered through our Campa Samhraidh Summer Camp, further information about which can be sought by calling us on (066) 7138137. We provide specialised Irish tuition from expert tutors. Our summer Irish Language Course is perfect for those wishing to improve their Irish and for those who wish to sample at leisure one of the world’s oldest languages.
There are a number of course-options on offer:

The Brandon Bay half Marathon & 10k Event
Féile Lúghnasa Thursday 26th – Monday 30th July 2018
The Féile Lúghnasa is an annual revival of an ancient pagan/Celtic festival. Events include sheep shearing, a Mount Brandon walk, parade, music, storytelling in Tinteán Ceoil and local pubs, comedy dramas, dog trials, swimming races, a triathlon and lots more! Traditional Currach/naomhóg racing for both ladies and gentlemen from the age of 12 up will be taking place on Sunday the 27th of August.
